A member-owned nonprofit cooperative caring for the land and ‘ohana of Kunia Loa Ridge, Hawai‘i.
Our mission
Better farming conditions, decided by farmers
KLRF is an organisation that aims to enhance the agricultural community of Kunia Loa Ridge Farmlands. We are made up of volunteers who are also farmers with land here, and our objective is to improve farming conditions and make improvements to the farming community.
We support farmers by actively listening to their concerns and offering assistance wherever we can.

What the association does
Run by owners, for ownersRoads & access
Maintaining the common roads, drainage and the gate, and keeping first responders able to reach every lot.
Water
Negotiating rates, repairing reservoirs and keeping water reliable and fairly priced across the farm.
Building support
Pre-approved agricultural structure designs and a DPP permit packet, so owners are not left to work it out alone.
Community life
The Farmers Market, clean-up days, the community centre and the committees that run them.
Safety
Fire prevention, emergency preparedness and a reporting route for anything that puts the farm at risk.
Records & support
Ownership records, renters, vehicles and the day-to-day help owners need from the office.
